he Las Vegas Lights, in partnership with Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace, became the first professional sports team in the U.S. to have a marijuana dispensary as a sponsor.
As part of the agreement, Nuwu will have a sign in right field during Lights games. Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace is a short trip for fans as it is 2 blocks from Cashman Field.
Lights owner Brett Lashbrook said. “It’s a traditional sports sponsorship. It’s in a completely regulated industry and this is part of the destigmatization of it.”
