Rebel Coast Winery Making Marijuana Infused, Alcohol Free Wine

Founders of Rebel Coast Winery in Sonoma, Chip Forsythe and Alex Howe, set out to make a marijuana-infused wine.  They have created the world’s first alcohol-free and marijuana infused Sauvignon Blanc for the many who don’t want to smoke marijuana.

It seems like wine would be a logical next step, but this regulation makes things a little more difficult for winemakers than it would be otherwise. Marijuana cannot be combined with alcohol in the same product or sold at the same venue.

After lots of trial and error, the team ultimately produced an alcohol free Sauvignon Blanc with around 16 mg of THC in each bottle. In terms of THC effect this is mild, with most recreational legal state laws allowing up to 10 mg of THC in a single serving.

“We set out to mimic the experience you’d find with traditional wine; a couple glasses will put most people in a great place,” the duo explains.

It’s a product that promises the taste of wine, the effect of marijuana, and none of the unpleasant hangover characteristics of alcohol. For those in California, pre-orders are available now at $59.99 per bottle.

Getting Weed Is Now As Easy As A Drive Thru Window!

NuWu Cannabis Marketplace the largest recreational marijuana store in the country just opened the first weed drive-thru store in Nevada.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that NuWu’s drive-thru is a converted bank teller window, made of bullet-proof glass and framed with bullet-proof Kevlar. Surveillance cameras monitor both inside and outside of the impenetrable window.

NuWu Cannabis Marketplace serves customers in about 1  minute from the time they place their orders from their cars.  The drive-thru offers a limited menu of popular items, while those who order online and pick it up at the window can choose from the full 700-item menu.

But as with all recreational marijuana shops there are strict rules for the drive-thru, every person in the car must be 21 and will have their IDs checked.

Billed as the largest recreational marijuana store in the US and located on Paiute Tribal lands, near Main Street and Washington Avenue in Las Vegas, getting a recreational marijuana shop to Paiute tribe’s lands was a lengthy, 18 month process that finally allowed NuWu’s opening on October 16th.

“The money stays here. It stays in the community, all of the profit,” said Kevin Clock, representative of the Paiute Tribe, “It’s something I think the community should be very proud of.”

At approximately 16,000 sq. ft. of retail space, NuWu is the largest marijuana dispensary in town and the US. 105 people are employed and over 10 percent of the staff are either Paiute tribe members or relatives.
